Ezkerraren aukera Zarautzen

Hoy se han celebrado en todo el mundo actos de solidaridad con el pueblo palestino sometido desde hace 15 días a un ataque despiadado del Estado israelí que ha causado ya más de 800 muertos.

En Zarautz nos hemos concentrado casi 300 personas a las 12 en Foru Zaharren Plaza para denunciar en silencio durante 30 minutos los ataques sobre Gaza.

Por la tarde en Donostia, unos 2.000 manifestantes hemos reclamado por las calles el cese del genocidio y el reconocimiento de los derechos del pueblo palestino. Entre los participantes había muchos miembros de la comunidad árabe de Gipuzkoa. El acto ha finalizado en el boulevard con la lectura de un manifiesto por parte de la coordinadora contra la guerra, y otro de la Comunidad islámica, en castellano, euskera y árabe.

Gaur mundu osoan Palestinar herriarekiko elkartasun ekimenak ospatu dira, Israelgo erasoa hasi zenetik 15 egun pasa direnena eta 800 palestinar hil dituzte.

Zarautzen ia 300 pertsona bildu gara Gazaren gaineko erasoak isiltasunean salatzeko.

Donostian arratsaldean, 2.000 pertsona inguruan kaleetatik zehar genozidioaren amaiera eta Palestinako herriaren eskubideen errekonozimendua eskatu ditugu. Gipuzkoako arabiar komunitatearen kide asko zeuden. Ekimena bolulevardean bukatu da bi manifestuen irakurketarekin, bata gerraren kontrako koordinadorarena eta bestea islamiar komunitatearena, gasteleraz, euskeraz eta arabieraz.

European Left party:
The Party of the European Left strongly condemns the aggression of the Israeli army against the Palestinian people in Gaza. We call for an immediate and unconditional stop of the military operation.

We also condemn the US administration support to the Israeli policy, and its immoral opposition to a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a cease fire in Gaza. We request the UN Security Council to adopt concrete measures, including the imposition of sanctions, in order to ensure Israel's fulfillment of its obligations under international humanitarian law.

The European Union must request the Israeli government to stop the aggression and the siege. We demand concrete measures, and not just verbal statements, as happened lately. The EU institutions and member states must make effective use of the European Union guidelines on promoting compliance with international humanitarian law (2005/C 327/04) to ensure Israel complies with international humanitarian law under paragraph 16 (b), (c) and (d) of these guidelines, including the adoption of immediate restrictive measures and sanctions, as well as cessation of all upgrade dialogue with Israel.

It's unacceptable to put on the same footing the victim and the aggressor. This war is a war against all the Palestinian people and the first victim is the peace process. The international community, including the European Union, have a great responsibility for the humanitarian crises in Gaza caused by the continuous siege, and for ignoring the construction of an apartheid system in the west bank. EU cannot continue with its policy of complicity with US and Israel. We support the demand of the Members of the European Parliament of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left group for a debate about the war in Gaza at the plenary session the forthcoming 12th January.

The Party of the European Left continues to cooperate and work together with the left parties in Palestine. As we declared in the EL Middle East Conference in December in Istanbul:

“It is not possible to speak of peace and stability in the Middle East unless enduring solutions are found to the problems experienced there. The most important pre-condition for durable solutions to the problems of the region is to recognize and implement the right of the Palestinian people to have an independent state which enjoys the same rights as Israel and which can develop peaceful relations with its neighbors. The military occupation of Palestinian territory must come to an end, the siege of Gaza causing so much human tragedy should be lifted and the “wall” built by Israel should be torn down."

”We demand the dismantling of the Israeli settlements, the demolition of the apartheid wall and the recognition of the Palestinian refugees’ right to return in accordance with the UN resolution 194. In accordance with UN resolutions we further demand the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state in the occupied territories in 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital…"

>COMUNICADO DEL GRUPO MUNICIPÀL EZKER BATUA-ARALAR ANTE EL GENOCIDIO DE GAZA

Desafiando el derecho internacional y la Declaración universal de los derechos humanos, el Gobierno israelí lleva 2 semanas bombardeando decenas de objetivos en la franja de Gaza, habiendo causado hasta el día de hoy 700 muertos, la mitad mujeres y niños, y más de 3.000 heridos. Especialmente condenable resulta el asesinato de 40 personas que se refugiaban en colegios bajo la protección de la ONU.

Ante semejante masacre desde el grupo municipal Ezker Batua-Aralar expresamos nuestra condena más rotunda a los últimos bombardeos y agresiones del Estado terrorista de Israel sobre la población civil de la franja de Gaza, en los que han muerto centenares de personas y exigimos la paralización inmediata de las hostilidades sobre el pueblo palestino, sometido durante décadas a la ocupación militar y al exilio forzoso.

Queremos denunciar la política de la administración USA bajo cuyo protección el Estado de Israel viene incumpliendo sistemáticamente las resoluciones de la ONU y manteniendo al pueblo palestino confinado en esos enormes campos de concentración que son las franjas de Gaza y Cisjordania.

Desde Ezker Batua-Aralar reclamamos a la Comunidad internacional, especialmente a la Unión Europea, que exprese –también con los hechos- su repulsa por la nueva y brutal agresión, liberando fondos económicos y efectivos humanos para ayudar al pueblo palestino en su determinada voluntad por hacer valer sus derechos y poner fin al conflicto que dura ya 60 años.

Instamos al Gobierno del Estado Español a adoptar medidas de presión en tanto no cese la ofensiva, como la suspensión de relaciones comerciales y sobre todo, la prohibición de la venta de armas a Israel, así como la expulsión del embajador israelí en Madrid y la suspensión de relaciones diplomáticas.

Animamos a todos y todas las zarauztarras a que expresen su denuncia ante estos hechos y a que se unan a las movilizaciones convocadas para pedir el cese de los ataques militares, y en concreto, a las siguientes:

EN DONOSTIA, EN EL KIOSKO DEL BOULEVARDA, TAMBIEN EL SABADO 10 A LAS 18 HORAS, A LA MANIFESTACIÓN CONTRA LA GUERRA Y EL GENOCIDIO CONVOCADA POR LA COORDINADORA CONTRA LA GUERRA.
